The Holiness Standard

measuring scripture against the Golden Rule

This is the fourth of six short videos Frank Levy and I created with Holleran Media. For some reason beyond my understanding, many of you will receive this video without sound. This is a glitch of some sort. All six of these spiritual PSAs have sound. Please hit the “play” button or adjust the volume until the sound functions properly. Or, if that fails, please send me $50,000 to hire professionals to handle my social media efforts.

For those who appreciate having the “scripts” for these videos, here is the text for the Holiness Standard:

A Roman soldier challenged Rabbi Hillel to teach him the entire Torah while the soldier stood on one foot. Hillel responded, “What is hateful to you, do not do to another; that is the entire Torah.” What applies to Torah applies to all scripture. Every scripture that aligns with the Golden Rule is holy; every scripture that does not is unholy. Embrace the holy wherever you find it and reject the unholy, even if it is honored in your own home.
