A Roman soldier challenged Rabbi Hillel to teach him the entire Torah while the soldier stood on one foot. Hillel responded, “What is hateful to you, do not do to another; that is the entire Torah.” What applies to Torah applies to all scripture. Every scripture that aligns with the Golden Rule is holy; every scripture that does not is unholy. Embrace the holy wherever you find it and reject the unholy, even if it is honored in your own home.
