This is the second of six Public Service Announcements Frank Levy and I created with our friends at Holleran Media. These videos remind us of some of our core truths in this time of madness. We encourage you to share this and subsequent videos widely.
Here is the transcript:
Life is tohu va-vohu: wild and untamed (Genesis 1:1) and havel havalim: as impermanent as breath (Ecclesiastes 1:2). Yet, there is order in the chaos (Ecclesiastes 3), and embracing it fosters creativity and peace. The Taoists refer to this as wei-wu-wei, non-coercive action: riding the wave, cutting with the grain, swimming with the current, tacking with the wind. Be like potters at the wheel: working with what is to bring forth the beauty of what might be.
